Api Himal Base Camp (AHBC) Trek

Highlights
  • Api Nampa Conservation Area (ANCA), renowned for rich biodiversity, landscape and cultural heritage — 25 mammal species including snow leopard, 243+ bird species including chukar partridge, and high-quality yarsagumba
  • Mt Api (7,132 m), the highest peak in Sudurpashchim Province, in the Yoka Pahar sub-section
  • Mt Saipal (7,031 m) lies in the Saipal sub-section of the Byas Rishi (Guras) range
  • Numerous cliffs, rocky formations, caves, high passes and beautiful patan (alpine meadows)
  • Two major cultural groups — the Sauka (Byansi, Tibeto-Burman) and Maldeshi, reminiscent of the ancient Khasha people, and the Khasha community of Chhetri, Brahmin and Dalit groups of Doteli-speaking Indo-Aryan background

    Dhangadi to Gokuleshwor

    Gokuleshwor to Latinath and Makarighad, on to Khandeshwori

  4. Day 04

    Khandeshwori to Ghusa homestay / Siti homestay

  5. Day 05

    Ghusa / Siti homestay to Simar

  6. Day 06

    Simar to Dhauli Odar

  7. Day 07

    Dhauli Odar to Api Base Camp

  8. Day 08

    Exploration around Api Himal Base Camp — Kalidhunga Tal, the source of the Chaulani river, and Ringde Pani Taal

  9. Day 09

    Api Himal Base Camp to Chhirchhire

  10. Day 10

    Chhirchhire to Khandeshwori

    Khandeshwori to Makarighad and Gokuleshwor

  12. Day 12
